Very nice hotel for vacation with many facilities and great nature location
We loved the fact that Dr. Holms Hotel is a historical Hotel. It is full of beautiful antique furniture, displayed tastefully throughout the different areas of the hotel. We also enjoyed so much the amazing outdoor jaquzzi! As the steam rose from the relaxingly hot water, we looked upon the Geilolia ski slopes, right in front of us, what a great feeling!
Location, atmosphere, friendliness, stunning hotel, views and the hot tub outside in the snow!
Room could have been bigger for the four of us (plus dog)
Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly.
Hotel was generally far too hot (including hotel room) which made it feel a little stuffy. Excellent selection of breakfast items including cooked items but hot food was not kept hot hence was cold for all 3 days of our stay (eg. baked beans, scrambled eggs). I read this comment on previous reviews and advised the hotel on several occasions but to no difference. Otherwise a lovely staff for the family.
The afterski bar
The general conditions of the hotel. Very worn down. No safe in the hotel room. Poor selection of toiletries, nor ironing board in the room. Nor show shine kit. Not sound proof at all, could hear everything the next room talked about.
Staff, staff, staff. Very professional & helpful. Furthermore, the Brasserie served some serious good food.
The service of the staff is really amazing good! Very helpful and friendly.
Elegant old hotel
was hoping quality of room , bedding, bathroom ALL woulkd be more upscale
Old hotel, things broke in our room and were not fixed even when we told the Staff our first day.
Perfect for any age group , will return .
The hotel was absolutely gorgeous - beautiful decor in the hotel and a fabulous view from our hotel room. It was warm as toast and the room was spacious. Our only issue was not having tea/coffee facilties in the room but it was available at any time near the restaurant.
They had arranged to collect our luggage from the station when we arrived by train but they forgot and my elderly mother and I had to heave our luggage up to the hotel in the dark on slippery paths.
The beautiful atmosphere where ever you looked creative decorative ideas the incredible views the closeness to the ski schools/slopes the heated pools and gym the great buffet breakfasts their attention to promoting cultural and family traditions around the christmas period their willingness to get us to and from the station and church without any charge
The temperatures in the rooms and formal dining rooms were ridiculously hight and uncomfortable. To be comfortable I would have had to dress in australian summer attire of which of course I did not bring so it was a huge concern for me also the lifts are not at all sufficient for the number of people who stay at this establishment. We were always kept waiting and even had to get off once on because the weight allowed was exceeded, no seats to accommodate waiting patrons and even stairs were not an opption as it was quite difficult to navigate where to go, lots of twists and turns. Food and beverage prices certainly made it difficult to relax and enjoy even meagre meals apart from the buffet breakfast which of course was included in the accommodation price.
Food and the charm of the hotel
The hotel rooms are small and dated. The guests were noisy and intoxicated. Seems that around 3:00 am the drunkss go to sleep.
